Paola Lauro

Architectural Historian in Rome
About Paola

Paola graduated in the discipline of modern art history at the University of Rome, La Sapienza, with a thesis on the Counter-Reformation churches. The portraits of power in the seventeenth century was the subject of her doctoral thesis. She was particularly interested in analyzing the works of art for the contribution they gave to the construction of the historical tale. She has curated the exhibitions of twentieth-century artists, organized conferences on current topics, connected to art, such as "Selfie and self-portrait" and is the author of Zeno Meloni catalog. A tour guide since 2010 in English and French, she loves an interactive approach with visitors, building the tour as a tailored dialogue.
