Adrienne has an educational background in art history and cultural management, and she obtained her MA from the University of Budapest. A postgraduate scholarship took her to Indonesia where she wrote her thesis on Eastern and Western cultural interactions. After graduating she started a career in the art world working for museums, art galleries, and a well-known auction house in London, Venice, and Budapest. In this environment the relationship between art and wine was always in focus. While she was involved in wine auctions, she started her formal study of wine and completed a course with Christie’s Education. Florence and Tuscany are incredibly inspiring places for her, as she dedicates her career and passion to art, wine, and gastronomy. Currently she is organizing and leading cultural and oenological tours in Tuscany and further afield.
Once again, Context comes through with a wonderful and unique tour. And Adrienne is a terrific guide, with a wealth of knowledge combining history, architecture, sociological perspective of the times, the various neighborhoods, and relationships with each of the artisans whose studios we visited.
Our tour yesterday of the Uffizi Museum and Acadamia with Adrienne Kovats was yet another great tour with Context. Adrienne is incredibly engaging and knowledgeable, a true art historian and teacher with deep understanding of the renaissance in all aspects, particularly with respect to the history of the great families and patrons of the artists and relationships between Florence and other key city states of the period. As with all context tours, we were well educated. Just. Hire. Context!
Adrienne was magnificent!
