Educated at Oxford (MPhil) and Nottingham (BA Hons), Jana fell in love with Spain while on her Erasmus exchange semester in Granada. She moved to Barcelona in 2010 to work as an Economic History Researcher at Pompeu Fabra University and fully embraced the unique culture and atmosphere of this dynamic and multicultural city. Showing travellers from all over the world around her adopted home city and sharing her passion for its art, architecture, history, cuisine, people, and daily life remains one of her greatest pleasures. Jana's expertise lies in Spanish and European history, politics, current affairs, and intercultural relations and her interests include hiking, learning languages, dancing salsa, and enjoying a glass of cava with friends on the beach.
