Maj is an artist who lives and works in Copenhagen.
She has +10 years of experiences as an artist working on projects that investigate urban space, landscapes, and community building both in Denmark an abroad. Maj works with traditional formats like photography, installations and artist books combined with relational actions like workshops, performance and walks. She has made several projects about public space of Copenhagen. That includes Algas cogito (think seaweed) a workshop made for the harbour area of Copenhagen on the sea and macro algae, and Maps for Copenhagen, an alternative artistic guidebook to the city in Danish, English and Arabic.
Alongside her art practice, Maj works as a project manager developing art and culture policy. Her main focus is how the art field can become more sustainable environmentally, economically and socially. This has given her comprehensive knowledge about the danish culture field and about what's currently at stake.
