Cheryl originally hails from King’s Lynn in Norfolk ‘Nelson’s County’, and spent her childhood discovering the country churches and grand country houses for which it is renowned. But Dad was a Londoner and he introduced her to his home town on regular visits to the capital, and she was hooked. That initial excitement she experienced discovering the secrets of the city never waned and she moved to London in 1979. She loves the diversity London offers. Her academic background was in languages and after 40-years in public service, being awarded the MBE in 2017 for work supporting staff with disabilities, she pursued her passion for history and qualified as London Blue Badge Guide in 2020. She would love now to share her knowledge and passion for London with you. She particularly enjoys working with families with children and especially multi-generational families .
