Caroline spent a long and rewarding career teaching at a well-known school for girls, North London Collegiate. Her university subject was History, specialising in the Tudors, particularly the reign of Edward VI. She has been involved with projects run by the National Archives and the University of York, delving into the Medieval period. Her passion for London remains undiminished: she is fascinated by its layers of history, its beautiful buildings, glorious parks and open spaces, vibrant markets, foodie destinations and its multicultural population. Training as a Blue Badge guide, as well as a City of London guide, was a natural development and use of her skills. She loves London in all seasons and at all times of the day and night. Her enthusiasm is contagious, and she will take you to hidden corners that you did not know existed, recounting tales of the long history of the capital city since its foundation by the Romans in 43AD. Her knowledge of the history and the cultural opportunities in the capital will help make your stay in London even more enjoyable. Caroline is well travelled around the United Kingdom, having spent much time exploring far corners of England, Wales and Scotland and can advise you on other parts of the country to visit during your travels.
