Tour Description
Our most popular family tour in Venice, this three-hour Venice for kids tour uses lions—the symbol of Venice—to trace a route in and around the Rialto and San Marco areas. Our experts will introduce the children on the tour to the idea of symbols in a cityscape and why the lion in particular is peppered all over Venice. The tour includes St. Mark's Square, Rialto Bridge, and other spots in the city center.
We’ll begin our tour with a visit to Saint Mark's, where we will start counting the lions—children usually love to compete and see who finds the most lions on the itinerary! En route to the Rialto Bridge and the colorful fish market, we will learn more about this fascinating city and search for its emblems on various buildings. While discussing its history, we may have the opportunity to cross the canal with a traghetto ride, which is how the locals travel.
As an orientation to the city, the Venice for kids tour will vary based on the expertise of the guide, since each will incorporate their hidden treasures to enhance your experience. Either way, your children will come away with an excitement for and knowledge of Venice. Looking for more to do in Venice with kids? Try our Venice in the Renaissance Tour for Kids.

FAQ
What is a private tour?
Our private tours are limited exclusively to travelers in your party. They are designed to provide a learning experience that is completely tailored to you and your traveling companions. Private tours give you more flexibility with scheduling (you decide when the walk best fits in your trip), the ability to tailor your itinerary (we'll work to match the itinerary to the interests and dynamics of your group), and more personalized time with your guide.

We had an amazing time with Nadya! She kept the kids interested with the Lion hunt game and was very flexible and accommodating when required. Now I wish we had time for a grown up tour with her too - she’s so full of knowledge and passion for the history of Venice!

We had a great time and Monica was very patient with our 4 year old’s finicky interest level. She was happy to answer our 13 year old’s very random assortment of questions. We are in Venice for only a few days so it was nice to get much more insight into the sights than we would have gotten just by walking around. I know that my kids will always think of this tour whenever they see a lion!!

Matteo gave an excellent tour. It was the highlight of our Venice trip. He related very well with my two grandsons. They are still talking about the tour.
