While in the past we’ve had wonderful tours with Context guides in various cities, including in Prague the day before this tour, this guide was very disappointing. We had difficulty understanding our guide both because of his Russian accent and the speed of his speaking. We asked him to slow down but he didn’t. He also was not responsive to our questions regarding architecture, history and culture. We had a private tour for 2! This wasn’t a large group. We aren’t sure if he didn’t understand English well enough or if he had his own agenda. The National Cathedral was extremely crowded. We had booked this tour with Context for the morning, but it was a national holiday and the cathedral was closed in the morning; we changed our tour to the afternoon for other reasons but we were disappointed that Context was not aware of this potential problem as well as not mentioning that it would be extremely crowded that day. We would have chosen a different day. We asked our guide about doing something else vs getting in a long line. I suggested finding a place away from the crowd to listen. Our guide was insistent that the line would not take too long. We stood on the line outside, which did move quickly, but once we were inside the cathedral we were very uncomfortable and unhappy being in the throngs crowded inside during our tour.

Wonderful tour with Ernestina! She is very knowledgeable and a delight to spend an afternoon with.

Andrey was very nice and it was obvious he is passionate about sharing the history of Prague. Despite bad weather we enjoyed the tour, and that he escorted us on tram to our next Context tour which was in the afternoon.
