Your day on the French Riviera will begin with a convenient pick-up at your accommodation in Nice. As you head east with your expert guide and private driver, you will soon spot the first of many magnificent sea views which lend the region its particular charm. You will begin learning about the area's unique history as you make your way to Èze, a remarkably well-preserved hilltop village which overlooks the Mediterranean Sea. The ownership of Èze has often been disputed due to its situation as an “eagle’s nest”, perched at 1400 feet above sea level and offering views of the surrounding sea and countryside.
Continuing on from Èze, you will make your way to Monaco, a sovereign city-state now most renowned for luxury and glamour. While the yachts in the port are plentiful and the high fashion boutiques line the avenues, we will first turn our eye towards the history of the Prince’s Palace. Home to Monaco’s ruling monarch, the palace was first built as a fortress and saw many conflicts over the centuries. We will also stop at two particularly recognizable landmarks: the Monte Carlo Casino, and the Monaco Cathedral.
After a stop for lunch, you will discover the colorful fishing village of Villefranche-sur-Mer. Possessing one of the deepest natural harbors on the Mediterranean coast, Villefranche provided a safe harbor to large ships during WWI. From the 16th-century citadel to the fascinating covered street, Rue Obscure, Villefranche has been beautifully maintained over the years. You will then continue on to marvel at the magnificent architecture of the villas in nearby Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat and learn about some of the more famous residents to have called the seaside village home.
After this last stop, it will be time for your expert guide and driver to accompany you back to Nice. You will part ways with a taste of the glamour and beauty of the Mediterranean coast and a deeper understanding of why so many visitors, both French and foreign, flock to the region each year.

For those with lower mobility, we suggest sturdy walking shoes and/or a walking aid as necessary. If you are particularly concerned about mobility, please contact us. Additionally, the streets of Eze in particular are steep and slippery and may be difficult to navigate if you plan on using a stroller for small children or babies.
