Croatia, Greece & Turkey Private and Small Group Walking Tours

Follow the traces of past civilizations and empires
Located on the edge of Europe and Asia, Greece and Turkey straddle two worlds. For Greece, it’s antiquity and modernity—its capital Athens, as well as its many islands, boast ruins of the ancient Greek civilization that spawned many Western fields of thought, including philosophy, mathematics, politics, science, and theater.

Turkey’s dual nature comes out of its geography: it’s split between the European and Asian continents, and this mix of different cultures shaped Turkey’s ’s history. Most notably, the country was dominated by the Ottoman Empire, which controlled parts of Asia, Africa, and Europe from the 14th until the early 20th centuries. Their former glory is reflected in the eastern and western influences found in Istanbul.

Alex was knowledgeable. He got us enthusiastic about all things Greek! Loved the tour!
Our guide Eleftheria was excellent. She was well-informed and expressive about the tour topics and also knowledgably addressed a wide range of historical & cultural questions from the group that were well outside of the scope of the tour.
As a first time visitor to Athens we felt it essential to have a a full day walking tour of the antiquities. Panos was the essential guide for our tour. His knowledge about the antiquities was exceptional. He was remarkable in communicating every facet of the entire historical timeline of the people who inhabited this area of Greece and the stories of what they left behind and their influence on Greece and the rest of the world. He answered every question with remarkable thoroughness and clarity. We highly recommend Panos and this tour.
