Stefan (pronounced 'Stare-fun') is a born and bred Singaporean with lived experiences in Norway and Australia. He recently completed his PhD in Design at the Queensland University of Technology, with the simplified title of 'Tuning-in' to music to 'tune out' on-the-go. In fact, his research was sparked by personal connection and empathy with those who suffer from the daily drone of noisy and stressful public commutes to and fro work.
Stefan now works as a guide and applied researcher with interests in the domain of Design, Health and Wellbeing.
He is drawn towards how spatial and sustainable design of concert halls, buildings and public spaces can enhance one's wellbeing through their senses and interactions within these environments. This is also in line with Singapore's vision to become a City in Nature and a more inclusive society for persons of all-abilities to flourish.
Stefan was a great guide. Very informative and accommodating
We had a wonderful tour with Stefan. He was both informative and entertaining. We were traveling with our adult children and he interacted very well with all of us. He accommodated our special request for chicken rice at Maxwell hawker stalls and adjusted the tour accordingly. It was a great cultural and food experience for all of us.
I had a great tour with Stefan. He was very knowledgeable about the foods and explained a lot of the history and cultural items as we walked. The foods were delicious!
