A Roman native, Simonetta grew up near St. Peter’s Basilica, where she could frequently admire its numerous Renaissance paintings. After visiting the Galleria degli Uffizi in Florence when she was 16, she discovered her passion for art and decided to make it her field of study. She earned her Master’s in Art History at the Sapienza University in Rome, focusing on the connection between Renaissance and Ancient Classical art. After continuing her studies at the university’s School of Specialization in Medieval and Modern Art, she excelled at the Vatican School of Librarianship, earning a degree that gave her many opportunities at both the Vatican Museums and the Borghese Gallery. In particular, she worked as guide for students in specific sections of the Vatican Museums, which allowed her to go more in depth in sharing her knowledge about the exhibits. Now, she continues to share her passion for art and love for her city as an internal Vatican guide and official guide of Rome.
