Informative, behind-the-scenes tour of WWII Paris. It is a small group tour with plenty of time for questions and conversation. Outstanding.
On Saturday May 18 2024 I went on a superb three-hour Context walk devoted to the Nazi occupation of Paris. Samuél Lopez-Barrantes, a writer and musician who has resided in Paris for more than ten years, was an outstanding guide, skilled at marshaling illustrations and anecdotes that brought the history to life. One of the most interesting features of the tour was his emphasis on the ways in which postwar France has chosen to remember and in some cases deliberately to disremember that trauma and the Resistance movements to which it gave rise.
Outstanding. I love his book!
