Sabrina Horak was born in Austria as the daughter of a Japanese mother and Austrian father. She has studied painting at Academy of fine Arts Vienna, Tokyo Zokei University and Japanology at University of Vienna. After being awarded the MEXT scholarship from the Japanese Ministry of Education she earned her PhD in Oil painting from the prestigious Tokyo University of the Arts, graduating in 2017. Sabrina lives and works in Tokyo, and is an Adjunct Assistant Professor at TUJ, while exhibiting her work in Japan and internationally.
She has been leading tours for Context since 2019, focusing on the Shitamachi Area-Yanesen, Ueno, and Asakusa.
