Romy is an art historian and educator, who has been working with some of Amsterdam's best (art)historical museums and organisations, including the Rijksmuseum, Maritime museum, Unesco Canal Heritage, and the Van Gogh Museum, since 2013. She has traveled a lot, but is equally passionate about showing both the beauty and background stories of Amsterdam, her favorite city in the world!
Romy specializes in 17th and 19th century art and history, with a specific interest in rebelious artists and stories where art/history and nature come together. (For example: flower symbolism in 17th century still lifes and Amsterdam's “green” history.) She loves working with kids and families and discovering ways to make tours and museums accessible (and enjoyable!) for all ages and abilities.
