Rino earned a Master’s Degree in Translation, Linguistic and Cultural Studies. He has been a professional licensed tour guide for 18 years, mainly working in Agrigento, which he considers one of the most inspiring archaeological sites in the Mediterranean world.
A scholar in the art world, he is often involved in Sicily-based projects. In 2016, he wrote an essay for the catalogue of the exhibition “Cosmos”, which presented the works of the Greek sculptor and painter Manolis Anastasakos, one of the most acknowledged Greek artists in Greece and beyond. In 2017, Rino curated an art book called “Sicilia, il Grand Tour (Sicily, the Grand Tour)”. The book presents the works of the famous French watercolour artist Fabrice Moireau. Rino was instrumental to Moireau’s selection of Sicilian landscapes. The book was presented in May 2017 at Italy’s most important book fair: “Il salone internazionale del libro di Torino”. In 2018 and 2019, Rino curated other exhibitions of Moireau’s paintings in various Sicilian cities and towns.
