Tour was not we expected. We have done Teguila tour in Oaxaca it was more elaborate and fun. This tour was very pricey and didn’t turned out what we expected.
Friendly and lovely guide, but lacked the level of cultural and historical information we are used to in our previous Context tours
In booking the tour, I specified the most important part would be seeing the Rivera murals at the Palacio Nacional. We did not get to enter the Palacio Nacional. We detoured to a market for the first part of our tour. That added several blocks to the walking and delayed us from sights we signed up to see. To make up for no tickets to the Palacio Nacional, at the end of our tour we continued across the Alameda to see the wonderful Sunday in the Park. That was great, but by then we were exhausted and dehydrated. The tour needs more of a story that weaves together the ruins of the Plaza Mayor with the Cathedral and Palacio Nacional with names, dates, fun facts. One of the most interesting things we learned was the story of the Virgin of Guadaloupe. More stories like that would be great. The telling needs to be loud enough for all to hear. We appreciated seeing lots of other murals in lovely buildings along the way, but as it was our first day in MX City and we are especially interested in the Diego-Frida story, his work was specifically what we wanted to see.
