We really enjoyed our tour through Jamaica Market. Raquel was an excellent and fun guide, and we enjoyed all sights, sounds, smells, and foods we sampled. She had great relationships with vendors, and they were very kind and engaging when we visited their stalls. My only comment is that we ate breakfast the morning of our tour based on Context’s instructions to “have at least a light breakfast” prior to the tour, and we wish we had arrived hungrier! We found the samples to be quite generous and filling — not to mention delicious! — and we wish we had had a bit more room. We loved the tour and would absolutely recommend it to anyone who loves food and would like to have an authentic local experience.
Raquel was great! She was knowledgeable about the food AND so passionate to show what makes Mexican food unique. Loved it!
