Paula was born and grew up in central London, a stone’s throw from Buckingham Palace. She studied Modern History and Politics at Sheffield University, achieving BA honours degree. Since then she has gone into a variety of work and continuing education, qualifying as a Rehabilitation Worker for the blind, working as a freelance trainer to health professionals, and latterly working in Public Health considering behaviour change, both at a local level and in the Department of Health. In 2009, Paula studied for her first guiding qualification - as a City of London guide. This led to a change in work direction and she was awarded the Guide of the Year when she qualified in 2013 as a London Blue Badge guide.
Paula enjoys showing visitors the sights; bringing them to life with tales from history and gossipy anecdotes – tales of Royalty and how the everyday folk lived, worked and
sometimes loved! Paula has a passion for architecture from the Victorian period to the modern day. A tour will not only look at the building but also the economic forces at play, the personal friendship and quarrels which led to some of our greatest buildings.
