Patrik is a Swedish sommelier, beer researcher, and professional coffee taster who gave up a career in IT 10 years ago to pursue wine knowledge. He has since worked with beverages worldwide, from New York to Mauritius to Paris. In addition to the WSET Diploma (Level 4), he holds two Master's degrees from the prestigious Burgundy School of Business in Dijon and Uppsala University. At both institutions, his research focused on the sensory perception of intrinsic qualities in wine and beer. Early in his career, Patrik won three national sommelier competitions: Rioja Sommelier Award 2012, Robert Mondavi Diploma 2013, and Swedish Championship of Spanish Wine Knowledge 2013. Besides his expert wine knowledge, he also has a world-class palate, having represented Sweden twice in the World Coffee Tasting Championship. In his free time, Patrik is an avid Marathon runner, foodie, programmer, and cineaste.
