Marina was born in Ioannina, Greece and spent her childhood in various Greek cities. She pursued undergraduate studies in Foreign Languages & Translation at the Ionian University (Corfu) and completed a Master’s Degree in Cultural Management at the Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences (Athens.) As a graduate student, she specialized in museum studies and conducted research on communication practices for foreign visitors in Greek museums. She also completed a 2-year educational program at the State School for Tourist Guides in Athens, thus obtaining a professional guiding license for Greece.
Marina has been living in Athens since 2003. Before becoming a professional tourist guide, she participated in and/or managed a number of projects relating to cultural policy, heritage interpretation, cultural tourism and cultural content creation. She has collaborated with the Greek Ministry of Culture and Sports, the Special Secretariat for EU-funded (ERDF & CF) Sectoral Operational Programs, museums and media outlets. She is fluent in English, Greek, French, and Spanish.
