Maja is an art historian, curator, and visual artist based in Amsterdam. With a background in conservation, restoration, painting, and printmaking, she holds both a Master’s Degree in Fine Arts and a PhD in Art History. Her extensive experience spans higher education, teaching, research, and curatorial practice, where she has worked on projects and exhibitions that bring art to life for diverse audiences.

As an artist, Maja has exhibited her paintings and prints internationally, earning recognition for her creative work. Her passion lies in exploring the creative process, art techniques, and materials, with a keen interest in uncovering how specific artworks were made.

Maja has a deep fascination with the Dutch Golden Age, a period that shaped Amsterdam’s identity and artistic legacy.
