Karin, who spent half a day with us in Kyoto, is very knowledgeable about the history and the styles of the temples that we visited. She was also very accommodating of Katherine’s sore knees and Tom’s cold on that particular day.
The Arishiyama trip including Tenryu-ji and the Bamboo Grove was really enjoyable. My guide Karin was very informative on matters of history, architecture and even the plants which all helped me enjoy the tour.
Karin is an excellent and easy going guide and it was a pleasure to spend time with her while learning about the gardens and Golden Pavilion. We highly recommend using Karin. She was also happy to offer thoughts about the rest of our travels in Japan.
