Iuliia Solodenko
Julia is a historian and passionate tour guide originally from Ukraine, deeply in love with the rich history and diversity of Switzerland’s regions. Her unique background in music, philosophy, and acting brings a fresh and captivating perspective to her tours. Having studied cello and piano from the age of 7 till 18, she later pursued philosophy at Odessa State University before graduating from the Kiev Theatre Institute, specializing in acting and the history of art. After working in theater and film, Julia moved to Venice in 2008, where she earned her guide license in 2015 and spent five years sharing her knowledge with visitors.
In 2020, she moved to Switzerland, where she now guides tours in Zurich, Lucerne, and Bern, blending her love for history with her passion for guiding. With more than 10 years of experience, she offers a personal and immersive view of Switzerland, revealing hidden gems and historical insights that make each tour truly unforgettable.
She was delightful, and we learned a lot. Her ideas for other areas to explore beyond the tour were also super fascinating. She brought Zurich to life for us.
