About Itsuko

Itsuko is an artist, holding an MFA from Long Island University in New York and a BFA from Osaka Kyoiku University in Osaka, both of which she majored in painting and printmaking.
Since living in NY, the more she learned Western art, the more she realized that her sense of beauty in her work was deeply rooted in Japanese culture. Also working as a national licensed tour guide, her passion is mainly focused on art, especially on the theme of how Japanese people have perceived beauty throughout the ages.
She was born and raised in Japan and enjoys sharing her extensive knowledge and experiences of Japanese art, history, and people with her guests.
She loves playing badminton in her free time.
