Irene Steiner is originally from the south of Austria and moved to the Austrian capital to attend the University of Vienna. After having completed her Master's degree in Italian and Spanish and later in Art History, she spent a number of years managing tours, mostly for North American guests traveling throughout Europe. For family reasons she started guiding as an licensed local guide of Vienna. Now with grown-up children she is still very happy to show Vienna - the Imperial City - to guests from all over the world. The emperors may not be in Vienna anymore, but their noble palais and art collections still lend imperial grandeur to the city and make it the best place to be.
