About Dora

Dora is a culturologist based in Berlin. She has an MA in Eastern European Studies from Bologna University and is currently finishing her PhD in Social and Cultural Studies, where she is writing about the discarding of books and the act of forgetting. She has held fellowships or studied at universities in Germany, Hungary, Italy, Lithuania, Turkey and Slovenia.

Dora's current research interests revolve around vanished states and the materialization of memory. In fact, her interest in the memorialization of state socialism has led her to collaborate with several museums in Berlin. This multilayered city is a perfect match for her exploratory spirit and is a constant source of inspiration. She looks forward to sharing her enthusiasm and knowledge with curious travelers on Context tours.

Feedback for Dora

Dora crafted an excellent tour for us. She modified things on the fly based on the conversation we were having as the tour proceeded. Afterwards, she even shared a list of books and movies that she had referenced during the tour.
