Brigitte was born and raised in Salzburg. She has always been fascinated by Salzburg's unique location on the edge of the Alps, the Italian-influenced architecture of the old town, the city mountains, and the proximity to so many lakes and rivers. After studying economics and business sciences in Vienna, she lived and worked in France and Germany for many years.
In 2017, Brigitte returned to her beautiful hometown, where she opened a guest house on Lake Attersee and completed training to become a licensed Austria Guide. She enjoys exploring her favorite city and sharing her interest in the culture and history of this region with her guests.
Another great tour with Context. Brigitte was very knowledgeable and gave us an excellent introduction to the city and its history.
Brigette was informed and engaging -- possibly the best guide we had on our trip through Munich, Salzburg, and Vienna. She enthusiastically enrolled our 12-year into her city tour plan and, suddenly, "so much history" was deemed exciting again. What we loved most was her preparation. Upon learning that we had already experienced certain parts of the city on another tour, Brigette pivoted and found new parts and new stories. She also came with a backpack full of visual aids and extras to help us understand the what, whos, and whys of Salzburg history.
