Born and raised in a small town in Ontario Canada Ben came to Oxford in 2021 to pursue a doctorate in Global and Imperial History. His subject specialism concerns the rise and fall of empires and the interactions of American foreign policy with empires. I have studied a wide array of history having done a minor in classics in my undergrad and I really enjoy showing people all of the symbolism that can be found from ancient to modern throughout Oxford.

Aside from working on my dissertation I teach undergraduate classes at the University of Oxford and I work with local secondary school students trying to expand their interests in history and encourage them to study at university.
