Andrea is a marine scientist graduated at the University of Milano-Bicocca. He is a collaborator at the Marine Benthos Ecology laboratory of the National Research Council of Italy, Institute of Marine Science of Venice. His research has varied from the assessment of contaminants within sediments of the Venice canals network to the ecology and mapping of the endangered mollusk bivalve fan mussel thoughout the Lagoon of Venice and the Nothern Adriatic sea. Andrea has widen his expertise abroad working on the biodiversity of the organ-pipe octocoral in Saudi Arabia and as marine biologist in Maldives. Currently, he is working on underwater photogrammetric reconstructions aimed at enhancing monitoring practices on benthic communities. During his free time Andrea loves to scuba dive.
