Agnethe is a native to Copenhagen with a passion for history. She holds a Masters degree in History and Danish Literature and has worked professionally as a guide since 2014. Having worked at both the royal Danish Theatre, the Carlsberg Brewery and Kronborg Castle, she has an extensive knowledge of some of Denmark’s most important historic institutions, while living one year in Australian has given her an international outlook and a strong level of English. Growing up in Copenhagen since childhood has given her a deep appreciation of the local culture and history, having witness the city’s development into from a previously worn-down old capital to an international hotspot with a laid-back atmosphere and happy outlook. Agnethe has a special interest in royal history and how the monarchy has shaped the country’s history. She also provides a historical perspective on contemporary Danish society and culture, focusing on storytelling and the insider knowledge that comes from being a local.
