Explore the World from a Local Expert's Perspective

Context Travel was founded in 2003 by an American expat couple in Rome on the premise that learning is the best way to travel, and that local experts are best equipped to lead that learning. What started as a word-of-mouth, mom-and-pop tour operator, slowly grew throughout every cultural capital around the world and then branched out into the digital sphere.

Tips and Tricks on Taking a Context Photo

  1. Capture the ah-ha moment: snap a picture of someone on your tour who learns something powerful or interesting about the city.
  2. Ask your expert if you can take their photo while they're leading your tour.
  3. Snap candids of your fellow guests on tour.
  4. Take a photo to remember the delicious food, iconic sites, or unique architecture you experienced during your tour.
  5. Gather your group together for a selfie at the end of your tour.
