Tour Description
Embark on a culinary journey with our leading expert and dive into the rich history of Venetian cuisine that has shaped the essence of this city through the ages. As you stroll through the market, your senses will be awakened by the tantalizing aromas and sights of seasonal produce and the catch of the day.

During this 2-hour tour, our expert will share fascinating insights into Venetian culinary treasures, such as the delicate artichokes from the nearby island of S. Erasmo and the delicate Schie, tiny shrimps harvested from the lagoon. Gain a deeper understanding of how these local ingredients shape Venetian gastronomy, and feel confident to explore the city's markets and embark on culinary adventures in its restaurants and wine bars.

In the second half of the journey, you will pause at a charming local eatery to indulge in cicchetti, a Venetian snack, accompanied by an ombra - a ritual small glass of wine. Indulge in the flavors of Venetian seafood delicacies and learn about the cultural and economic importance of these traditions. This immersive experience will not only connect you to Venice's past and present but will also leave you with a new appreciation for the unique blend of colors that define Venetian cuisine.

Leo was a delight! Very knowledgeable about the history of Venice and loved his passion for food! He put us at ease and spoke perfect English and we felt like we got a great experience walking and eating and chatting with him.
We had an amazing tour guide who went above and beyond to show us all around the Rialto Market. If you’re a foodie and want to immerse yourself in the Venetian food, I would highly reccomend this tour!
There is not much left to the Rialto Market to tour. Mostly appealing to tourist, but the guide gave an interesting discussion, and some good cheese & wine.
