Founded in the heart of Italy's eternal city, Context Travel has been enlightening curious travelers since 2003. Rome, with its layers of history, art, and culture, serves as the perfect backdrop for those who wish to delve deeper into the past.

Rome's Rich Historical Tapestry:
Rome's story begins as a small settlement on the Tiber River, evolving into a republic, and then an empire that shaped the Western world. From the legendary founding by Romulus and Remus to the grandeur of the Roman Empire, each stone and statue in Rome tells a tale. The city's history is not just about conquests and emperors; it's woven through daily life, religion, art, and the resilience of its people through centuries of transformation.

Really enjoyable tour of the Borghese Gallery with our 3 restless kids! Richard has a great sense of humour and tried his best to keep the boys’ interest, like using current children’s literature (e.g. Percy Jackson), and I appreciate his effort. Towards the end, I probably got the most out of the tour but there were zero complaints from the kids, which is a definite win in my books!
We spent 3 hours one on one with Paolo and he knocked it out of the park. He artfully played his PHD level knowledge of Roman history with a perfect sense of timing and focus. Unbeatable.
Thanks Paolo for the great tour!
