Fantastic! One of the most unique tours I’ve taken in years. Our discussions ranged from the impacts of changes in coinage to climate change on the fading Roman empire. Without a doubt the best morning I’ve spent in years of visiting rome.
Phil was incredibly engaging through his stories, knowledge, and personal experience. The tour stops were insightful and unique, and provided a great understanding of ancient Rome’s history.
As someone with degrees in Physics and Engineering I am quite the nerd. So with that being said Priscilla and this Contexttravel tour was a 17 out of 10. We love tours that are off the beaten path and not the typical overcrowded tourist trap tour. This was a well planned and well thought out tour. Our guide is an Archeologist. So from when and how things were made she didn’t miss anything. Discovering the layers of history across the Roman Empire to current times she explained it all. Answering our questions from how AI is seen in todays Archeology to Aliens to what made the colors of the paint on the walls we talked about everything. Priscilla is a true academic and a great communicator. I can’t wait for our next Contexttravel tour with Priscilla, hopefully another underground marvel!
